Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 06/24/2022

Number: 2

Eggs were laid 6/13 on my Asclepias tuberosa - right on the flower buds. I had counted 8 eggs but have only found 2 caterpillars so far. They hatched 6/18.

The caterpillar is circled in white on the photo.

This particular tuberosa (grown from my seed) is very red. It is definitely*not* tropical milkweed despite the deep coloration.
