Bald Eagle
Sightings report image

Date: 06/27/2022

Number: 1

At Great Kills Park, Joanna Dawe and I saw an adult bald eagle that was being mobbed by several dozen birds, including swallows, gulls, terns, mockingbirds, and others. It landed below our sight, then flew to one of the pilings that are near the shore in the Lower New York Bay and rested there for at least 10 minutes. We left at that point.
