I have not seen even one monarch in the area, whereas in years prior they usually are feeding , mating, laying eggs on my many milkweed. Neighbors have reported similar absence. A few have seen one.
Neither do I see honeybees.
Yes I know numbers are down by why SO near ZERO?
No new local pesticide use that I know of. But 10 miles from here they are spraying a “safe” gypsy moth mating inhibitor .
