Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 06/21/2022

Number: 1

Some of our milkweeds began opening about a week or two ago.  Thus far we have common milkweeds and swamp milkweeds (both pink and white) in bloom.  While they have become popular nectaring locations for numerous varieties of butterflies and bees, we have yet to see any Monarchs.

Today our weather started out cloudy and eventually became more fair.  Air temperature ranged between a low of 59°F around 10AM to a high of 84°F at 7PM.  Dew point ranged between a high of 68°F and a low of 49°F.  Air pressure started at 28.83 inches and slowly dropped to 28.67 inches.  For much of the day we had a light breeze from the southwest, with a peak of 13 mph (from the south) at around 10AM.
