Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/09/2022

Number: 8

We live in Tarzana but I work in El Segundo so I drive past Santa Monica every day. On June 30 I bought 4 narrowleaf milkweeds at the Armstrong Gardens store there. I checked the plants for eggs but didn’t find any. Today while watering the plants still in their pot, she started to see caterpillars. We counted a total of 8 with 5 of them on one plant. We put the potted plants near larger, in-ground plants so the caterpillars hopefully don’t eat the new ones down to nubs
