Birds appear solid black with a little off white color on the throat. They are feeding at a feeder on the porch. I haven't been able to get a photo. I will continue to try. They aren't as friendly as ruby throats. I have been watching them 3 weeks. Only now will they allow me to look out the glass door without flying away. They do not look like the photos on line of the black chinned..
