They started showing up after we had water play on Fridays. We've had temperatures of 101-105° and the birds have been coming to the gardens too when we water. I started leaving the lid of our water table (2 in deep) turned over and fill it with about an inch of water 2 times a day. The birds hop up to drink and bathe. They've been chasing each other around the meadow behind our playground as well. We watch them from the windows throughout the day.
