I did a check of milkweed at several patches throughout Castlewood Canyon State Park, looking for signs of Monarchs. I found no eggs, larvae, nor chew marks. I checked with park staff, no Monarch butterflies have been sighted. There is ample blooming milkweed, although not as tall as past years. Conditions have been dry. Oleander aphids have colonized several plants at one location. Monarch Way Station 9419
