Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/16/2022

Number: 1

At 10AM today, I saw a monarch butterfly flying over a sunflower on my front yard. There is also 7 milkweed plants there, also. Today is sunny, however, it is dry here, we have not received much rain, it is unfortunately getting drought. I wish that there was a law ending all deforestation and the cutting down of all trees. More tree planting must take place. Trees bring rain through evapotranspiration. Trees are essential for our survival and it's importance should be taught in schools. Some students and adults think all Trees are good for is paper and wood.
