Practice Report (Any Species)

Date: 07/19/2022

Number: 1

This monarch came across the highway toward my house, fluttered all around my flowers and made it’s way to my “milkweed forest” and I lost it. I decided to run inside and grab my phone and stood out in the open for a few minutes, when suddenly it appeared again and fluttered around my head (which made me emotional as I hadn’t seen one in person since I was a child), then it decided to finally nectar on some dandelions just beside my milkweed but was very skittish of me so I had to stay back. It’s wings were vibrant but it didn’t stay still long enough for me to distinguish the gender. Maybe someone with a great eye for the underside of the wings can tell?
