Sighted in backyard 5:50-6:00 p.m. The Monarch was visiting two milkweed patches and appeared to be drinking nectar from the milkweed flowers. One patch contains approximately 50 common milkweed and the second milkweed patch contains about 12 common milkweed. She also was landing on Joe Pye plants as well. It was sunny and the temperature was in the high 80s.
