Monarch checking milkweed, most of which is now past its prime. First sighted a Monarch 5/23 and a second one 6/26, both of which quickly checked milkweed status and moved on (no photos for those). Monarchs have "hatched" in this backyard the past two years and we're hopeful this latest one will lay eggs.
