Monarch, Captive-Reared

Date: 07/22/2022

Number: 3

I found 3 Monarch caterpillars on the aphid infested milkweed in my garden. I removed them from the milkweed they were on and put them on a healthy leaf from another milkweed. Brought them inside to raise. Their color was off a little I hope they survive. Probably hatched 3-5 days ago from the size of them.
While I was searching for more caterpillars a monarch came by and was laying more eggs on the unhealthy milkweeds. I will remove the caterpillars from them when they hatch in a few days.
