This sighting connects with a posted first sighting of a Monarch butterfly. One egg was left on smaller leaves at the top of the perennial species of milkweed, at the side of my house. This is the second year for this milkweed. I also plant annual milkweed flowers.
*The egg was collected and I am rearing indoors in a terrarium.
