We saw 2 in poor condition missing parts of their wing and very faded. It was difficult to tell but 1 was so very bright and fresh it could have been newly enclosed.
The habitat was native, wild and is considered to be a wetland. Showy and swamp milkweed were still blooming, however in our yards the blossoms are are finished. There was Joe Pyre, thistle and hemlock blooming. The wild rose bushes were finished.
