Observed this lovely female monarch fluttering about a few of my swamp milkweed plants. She was clearly depositing eggs and then would find her way to the milkweed flowers and be seen nectaring for awhile. Shen then dove into the grass and rested there for a bit and then started the process all over again. I felt she had probably been there for awhile longer before I had spotted her. I had observed her for about 30 minutes before she was suddenly gone. She was clearly in excellent shape.
