So far this summer I have only seen 2, including this one, adult monarch butterflies, 1 mourning cloak butterfly, 1 yellow striped swallowtail butterfly and most recently a painted lady butterfly. The numbers of all types of butterflies (and bees) seem to be much decreased as compared to recent previous years
