Make. Beginning at about 4:30 I saw him flit between trees a few times.
He stayed still on a zelkova leaf protected from much wind for a few hours.
It did not patrol the yard like males often do, and he did not nectar, so I wondered if he had jus eclosed.
There were eggs laid in my yard about a month ago (and presumably elsewhere nearby). I thought no larvae made it because I couldn’t see any herbivory after a few days, but perhaps one managed.
