Observed along the course of the park trail three adult monarchs! Also observed an abundance of milkweed along the sides of the trails; at one place counted over a dozen milkweed plants by one of the local natural field/grassed areas. Grateful that these plants were in place at this location in order to attract and support the monarch butterflies during their visit home in the north! Such a thrill and blessing to observe these magnificent butterflies. Unfortunately though, recently heard that they are now on the endangered list. But hopefully, to ensure, with this news in order to greatly support their safety, in healthy numbers to increase, along with other pollinators as well as diversity of species of life!
