Walking the beach and interior trail at Tawas Point Statre Park between 0930 and 1145 AM. Three miles walked. Counted 21 Monarchs in the 1st half hour along the beach flying and stopping on the wet sand. Sunny and mild westerly winds, 72 degrees. Some Monarchs were seen nectaring on milkweed which is still blossoming within the park, lots of Spotted Knapweed some Purple Loosestrife and Vervain.
