Watched two monarch butterflies over the next-door field fluttering, "dancing" with each other in close formation doing a paired near-vertical climb a hundred feet, probably more before they went out of view. Have seen this several times between 07/24/22 and 07/28/22. Unable to determine if it was the same pair. Have also observed single monarchs many times, daytime, especially over the past week or two, in milkweed, clover, and echinacea.
