Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 07/29/2022

Number: 1

In the late afternoon, a female or juvenile hummingbird came to the garden and visited dozens of yellow jewelweed, probably also the Himalayan jewelweed (out of sight behind a raised bed where she spent some time), the tropical milkweed, and the Salvia microphylla "Hot Lips" and a similar red commercial salvia, with quick stops on orange cosmos and tithonia. She also snapped up a number of bugs.
