Observed across the road from our home at dike a monarch flying. It settled atop common mw growing on dike bank. Id as male; fresh looking. It just remained there basking.

Back in our yard same faded female reported earlier today is still flying around, occassionally checking out ground foliage.

12:55pm observed a monarch very quickly fly in directional flight from north to south through our property & continue south toward Point Pelee. Too fast for photo. Wind now SSW @ 8/14kmh
