Our road and those nearby have abundant common milkweed growing along them. We have planted swamp milkweed. We have dozens of yellow swallowtails already. Today (7/30/2022), we have our first monarchs (5 so far) feeding on large butterfly bushes and coneflowers in our yard, near Lake Michigan.
