Monarch Waystation #271 reports seeing a hummingbird nectaring from several Lady-in-Red Salvia blooms just before 2 pm today from a 2nd story window. Sky mostly cloudy, 83 degrees F, no breeze. Because of my angle above the bird I could not tell if it had a ruby throat or not. In just a few seconds, a car drove past our yard in the townhouse's shared parking lot and spooked the bird. It flew up and eastward, out of sight.
