In our seven acres of meadows we have more than 400 common milkweed. I just examined ones that had signs of larva feeding. So of my 32 milkweed sample for inspection I found 7 larva. Four were first instar, one second, and two four instar. On July 20 I made short films of two different sets of monarchs mating.
