At 4:20 PM, as I was looking over various plants in our garden, I spotted a Monarch Butterfly fluttering about one of our pink swamp milkweeds. It was there for only a few seconds, never landing, and then headed off to the southwest. No time to grab a camera or determine gender. (If I had to hazard a guess, I believe it likely was a male seeking females with which to mate.)
At the time our skies were partly cloudy, the air temperature was 81°F, with a dew point of 61°F, humidity at 51%, air pressure at 28.58 inches, with a breeze from the SSW at about 11 mph.
