I planted my swamp milkweed 3 years ago from seeds. This is the first year Ive notice a monarch stay and feed AND lay eggs! Two weeks ago one monarch arrived and visited almost daily flying and landing and eating the nectar. Today 2 arrived at the same time. Around most of the day flying, landing and feasting on nectar. Upon inspecting this evening, I found 6 eggs!
