This is the third monarch I have observed in our garden this summer. This flighty female kept circling around and made multiple passes at the milkweed patch by our house. I observed her engaged in egg-laying behavior three different times within about 20 minutes and verified the presence of eggs under two milkweed leaves. She nectared briefly on the lantana a few times.
