Seen in backyard, on flowers growing in pots on patio.
First seen nectaring on purple cornflower, moved to cosmos after about 30 seconds. Remained there about a minute, the flew up into large maple where did not land, fluttered and then flew towards neighbor’s trees where I lost sight.
Backyard is about 50 yards from Columbia river where there are pockets of milkweed.
