The first one was very small, I could see through the wings. I think it was a female at the end of her life. She flew around a couple of younger stalks of milkweed and finally left a couple,of eggs.
The second was slightly larger, also older looking. Couldn’t determine sex.
The butterflies I’m seeing don’t stay in one place for long!
We are in a drought, making everything a challenge.
