Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/05/2022

Number: 1

Lots of butterflies in the garden today. Very hot and steamy. I saw this monarch along with 2 fritillarias, 5 black or spicebush swallowtails, a giant and a tiger swallowtail.

We got a good rain a couple of days ago. Does anyone know if the rain facilitates the emerging of butterflies?

Nectaring on the butterfly weed, (asclepius)
