We have today 25 Chrysalis, 2 cats that are pupating and 2 monarchs that eclosed this morning. I don't know if you can tell by the picture. We collect the caterpillars from the milkweed before they are harmed. We take the leaf off of the plant then bring it to the leaf of the stem of milkweed which is in a jug of water. these jugs are in a netted enclosure which in turn is in our gazebo. We rarely close the curtains. In this manner the cats can go about living in a near natural setting. when eclosed we release
