Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/06/2022

Number: 4

We are discovering more larvae each day. Which is so exciting. We are discovering approximately four each day in various stages of growth. It’s great to know the eggs are being deposited. We have pink swamp weed, white, yellow, Asclepius tuberosa, and a tropical variety which dies each winter. The monarchs seem to prefer to lay eggs on the pink variety. Our gardens are so lush due to summer rains this year that the tiny instars remain hidden until most reach stage 4 or greater.
