It's been raining heavily today. I was walking to my garage and at appx. 12:22 pm I observed an adult Monarch butterfly flying around our swamp milkweed plant in our backyard. I don't know how long it had been there but I observed it for about 3 minutes before it flew away. I live on the southwest side of Chicago.
