Epic battle going on right now for alpha-male status in my yard between this adult male ruby-throated hummingbird and a juvenile male ruby-throated hummingbird. The juvenile male takes off like a bullet at him every time he sees him feeding in my yard. The juvie was doing a pretty good job keeping him at bay at first, but the tide seems to be turning.
