Monarch, Captive-Reared

Date: 08/07/2022

Number: 2

one female laid 2 eggs which I brought inside to raise.

Note for Monarch Blitz: This is the worst year for the number of Monarch butterflies flying around outside since I started raising them in 2018. I saw very few and never more than 1 at a time unlike previous years.
I have 46 milkweed plants (front & back) and many butterfly friendly native plants including Joe Pye Weed and Coneflowers but very few butterflies of any kind this year.
