I have had milkweed plants in my backyard butterfly garden. I have had them all summer. Several are perennials & some are new plants from seeds I had from the previous year. Lots of milkweed with little activity. Last year I raised 28 monarchs in captivity because the year before that the birds kept eating the caterpillars off the milkweed in my garden.
