Today the Wind was NW at 16 mph until it turned to the NE at 10 mph at 2PM. I decided to go to Harrisville State Park to see if monarchs were migrating down the Lake Huron shoreline. No monarchs were observed in directional flight from 10 AM to noon. I did see one at the railroad tracks coming into the park. I decided to take my walk and observed monarchs at these locations from 12:10 to 3:45 PM:

My friend, Larry, phoned me at 5:30 PM to say he saw a monarch in his backyard and at the water tower this morning. This brings the total of monarchs to 11 today. The weather was sunny with the Temperature topping out at 69F. The monarchs were nectaring on Knapweed, Joe-pye-weed, milkweed, blue spiked Butterfly Bush, and wild legume. The goldenrods are starting to bloom.
