Saw 3 monarchs flying around my sand savanna in the early afternoon. 2 were males competing for control of the bed and the 3rd was of unknown sex. There were 3 others flying and landing on plants in my raised beds of prairie plants. Was not close enough to determine their sex or if they nectared when landing. All were seen at the same time before I released my captive reared monarchs for the day.
