This hummingbird apppeared about 5 days ago the first time, heard from wing sound flying around yard flowers. Then it was sighted at my feeder, and appeared to be a Broadtail hummingbird-- Beautiful red chin, emerald green back and head/cheeks. Its wings make the classic sawing sound. As a bonus, When I played aloud a Broadtail sound recording, it flew right at me aggressively (several times). It ignored a Ruby-throated sound recording.
