One male monarch patrolled the yard for much of the day.
I looked for new eggs but found none.
I couldn’t see any first in stars on leaves where eggs had been, either.
The one egg I had salvaged and let hatch in a container had molted and become 2 nd instar by evening, so I put it out in the narrowleaf milkweed patch.
