Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/16/2022

Number: 4

I have taught Monarch Butterfly Units since 1985 and continue to grow Milkweed and Buddlea (Butterfly) Bushes on our property. About 3-4 years ago I posted photos and data on your site; enjoy following the Monarch Migration. My kids, Grandkids, and now neighbors are excited about the Monarchs.
The Monarchs arrived later than usual this Spring. But, for the past 2 months or so we have enjoyed watching multiple Monarchs, Black Swallowtail, Fritillary, Hummingbirds, and Sphinx Moths. I have not seen eggs or caterpillars on our multiple Milkweed plants, however. The Monarchs are landing in our Spruce Trees; wonder if they are laying eggs up there?
