2022 was a bad year for monarchs in Vernon. I found only 4 caterpillars and 3 of them failed to eclose. The chrysalises got black spots on them and died about half way through their pupal stage. So sad.

One caterpillar did eclose tho and the monarch looked healthy... yay!
