Of 12 caterpillars (larvae) on my backyard milkweed, this one decided to form a J on the Clematis above the milkweed where I have been able to monitor it. It formed a chrysalis the next day. I will report this and send a photo. Checking on 15 Aug there was a monarch butterfly on the Clematis which flew away. Another on the 16th. Will send a photo of the chrysalis formed from the caterpillar above.
