Milkweed Sighted

Date: 08/01/2022

Number: 1

My pollinator gardens composed of primarily milkweeds (butterfly weed and swamp butterfly weed), grew well as they have in previous years, when monarchs laid eggs and larvae have chewed the leaves extensively.

On my property this year there has been an almost complete lack of monarch reproduction and leaf grazing of all the butterfly weed plants. Very unusual.
