Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/21/2022

Number: 3

As of early morning, noted huge amount of nectar (for this location) was consumed in the past 24 hours (~90ml), suggesting hyperphagia. At least four Ruby-throated hummingbirds were active at the feeder almost the entire day yesterday, while the dominant male was not seen.

An adult male is there today on 21st August, not sure if he is a traveler or the same dominant male returned after being away a day and a half. He fended off an adult female and at least one juvenile most of the day today.
