Two Naturalists from the Great Plains Nature Center and I spent about an hour this morning from 10am to 11am attempted to capture and tag adult Monarchs. We succeeded in tagging two, a male and a female. We captured another female, but her wings were so tattered that we releaseed her without tagging. In all we observed 8-10 adult Monarchs and all but two were nectaring on Swamp Milkweed. The other two were meandering in flight. Light winds out of the south and then east.
