Overcast and cool today thunderstorms last night with 2.75 inches of rain. Hummingbird friends are very busy: enjoying cooler temperatures,and games of chase and play. Groups of 3 and 5 playing tag,etc. Our delivery people and guests are amazed at how many hummers they see and fascinated by friendly, hummingbird, activities.

Perching in the fig tree, dogwoods,white pines,maples, oaks,on small fencing (thats protecting flowers from becoming deer fodder)

Primarily using nectar from flowers vs feeders: Nasturtiums, Phlox, Indian Pinks, Cardinal flowers, Blue Lobelia, Proven Winners salvias,Zinnias,Lantanas,Clematis Ragouchi,Trumpet Vine; and checking out Pink Turtle heads and Rose Champions.
