Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/23/2022

Number: 1

On my neighbor’s potted young showy milkweed.
I saw a monarch female land there last Thursday (18th) the same time I was watching it fly all over my Waystation. I hadn’t looked for eggs, but I thought two were laid. Five days later I looked and found this youngster.

The take-home here is that the female found single plants in a neighbor’s yard and also in my backyard that day, because I saw an egg on my one swamp milkweed plant.
